                 Volume 2 - Welsh Actors

That man seems here almost to be listening for 'The Silence of the Lambs'.

Sir Anthony Hopkins is just one of several famous actors to hail from the same small area within 10 miles of Swansea.

The others . . .
Though their accomplishments are too many to list here, these (and many others) are actors who graced the TV, stage, or broad-screen for decades past and continue to provide enjoyment.
Some of those 'greats' are:

RAY MILLAND: - born Reginald Truscott-Jones in Neath - 1907.

DONALD HOUSTON: - born in Tonypandy, Rhondda - 1923

RICHARD BURTON: - born Richard Jenkins in Pontrhydyfen - 1925

STANLEY BAKER: - born in Ferndale, Rhondda - 1927

RACHEL ROBERTS: - born in Llanelli - 1927

SIAN PHILLIPS: - born June Ailwen Phillips in Betws, Carmarthen - 1933

ANTHONY HOPKINS: - born in Margam in 1937

RHYS IFANS: - born in Haverfordwest - 1967

MICHAEL SHEEN: - born in Newport - 1969

CATHERINE JONES: - born in Treboeth, Swansea - 1969 - with no 'Zeta'!

IOAN GRUFFUDD: - born in Llwycoed (near Aberdare) - 1973

DANIEL CRAIG: - aka DIM DIM SAITH (both parents were half-Welsh!)

You will likely find their biographies (including lists of their films) here:

                                              Now go watch a movie!
